DESCRIPTION:
Craft 2.0 is a simulator tool focused on training industry professionals. We build two different modules, one for procedural training in operating a water-cutter (Resato), and another for teaching isolation techniques on a pipe dummy (OOI).
PROCESS:
As an artist, i enjoyed a lot of technical liberties during this project. The hardware limitations allowed the use of physically based lighting and higher polycounts. I did a lot of hard surface modeling and created all the textures with Substance Painter and Designer. Shader Forge was also used extensively for the creation of readable materials for tooltips, outlines, highlights, etc.
We also created two VR spin-offs for each client. Both are time trials where the player has to perform a set of actions (pressing buttons, measuring, placing, etc) before time runs out. These proved to be quite popular during conferences and presentations.
