DESCRIPTION:

The NS (Dutch railways) was looking for a mobile game, with the main goal to offer some transparency on the troubles their staff is facing each day - especially the track switch operators. We came up with a pretty straight-forward concept : The player views an isometric map and taps on different track switches, to prevent running trains from braking, colliding or other calamities. All trains still need to arrive on their destination.

 

PROCESS:

I took responsibility over the concept art, and as a team we iterated a lot on the game design by using a paper prototype. This actually worked so well that the client decided to turn it into a physical board game as well. I also made a little demo trailer we used during presentations - Rendered in mental ray in a relative short time span.
