DESCRIPTION:
One of the bigger and ambitious projects i’ve worked on is Raveleijn, a webgame made in Flash, for De Efteling (a dutch amusement park). The central theme was based on the equally named named park attraction and television series. The extensive story and lore written by Paul van Loon inspired us to develop a 3D role playing game, where the player controls a rider navigating through a variety of environments. You take on quests, do errands, rescue towns and battle your main enemy, the ”Graffers”. You follow a similar storyline as the main actors of the show and series.
PROCESS:
The game was made entirely in Flash (with 3D technology), and contained almost 8 hours of gameplay. I designed all of the 3D visuals and a big part of the level assets. A very fun project i’ve had the pleasure working on.
